Are you trying to do this in Vista/7? Most likely the EXE install triggered a UAC message to popup, which will disrupt the VNC connection. Exactly what type of toolbar are you installing for IE? We may preinstall it for you provided we are able to satisfy all licensing requirements first.

Port Numbers

We've purchased BrowserCam to test our internal/external
websites. We're having difficulty in setting up BrowserCam to test our
internal websites because they're behind the agency firewall. Our
network security team is aware of the IP addresses and port numbers
(8010-8040) which need to be open before we can internally test, but
they're asking for other port numbers to open besides (or, in addition
to) 8010-8040. Are there additional port numbers we can give them that
will allow us to test our internal sites behind our firewall? Any
assistance you could provide would be very helpful. Thank you.

Email Capture Service Tutorial

For those of you who have the Email Capture Service, there are 3 easy steps to using it:

1) Register your email address in the Regster Email Address page first. This address will be the one you'll use to send all your test emails FROM. On the right of this page is a Quick Help section listing all the email addresses to send test emails TO.

2) Preset your email capture preferences first via the Email Capture Preferences page. Pay special attention to the Preferred Email Clients section. Check any checkboxes to select the email capture tests you want to run. If you do not select a particular checkbox and you send a test mail to the respected email address of that test, there will be NO screenshots displayed for that test.

3) Send your test emails to the test accounts listed in (1)

4) View your results in the View Captures page.

What happened to BC-Virtual?

About 2 years ago, we started an intial test of the BC-Virtual service, a service that would allow you to run your own set of virtual machines on our infrastructure to test beyond just web pages on browsers. Sad to say, after extensive beta testing and trials, our parent company has decided that the current technology needed to run this service is not scalable and as such, has decided pull back on this offering until such time in the near future when better and more scalable technology is available to help us better implement this service. We thank you for your support and questions about this service for the last couple of years and we definitely hope to have this service up and running in the near future. Stay tuned!
